Brother, I think you need to give a number & a page for this alleged “Sahih” Hadith that you mentioned.
I am not defending music or musical instruments. I used to be of the opinion that musical instruments are Haram, but now I believe that musical instruments are only Halal when the music is used for Da’awa. For example, as a soundtrack for a movie used for Da’awa.
However, with that said, even back in the days when I used to think that music is Haram in any case, Da’awa or not, I did not think so because of any “Sahih” Hadith forbidding music. Simply because no such “Sahih” Hadith exists, and most certainly, not the Hadith that you mentioned. I’ve never heard of it in the first place.
Please do some research and give me an exact number & page for this alleged Hadith Sahih. It will be quite a feat if you succeed, because I am positive that there is not a single Sahih Hadith forbidding music. This is exactly why there is difference of opinion on the issue of music. If your Hadith existed, then there wouldn’t be differences of opinion. Ever hard of Dr. Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi? Founder of IslamOnline.net and celebrity scholar in the Arab world? He allows music but only for the sake of Da’awa. I really don’t think he would’ve done that if your Hadith existed, brother.

There are many hadiths forbiding the Music, I am sure that if you search some books you will find some hadith.
As far as Dr. Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi is concerned, I doubt his being a good scholar. Remember being famous and being competent and knowledgeble . CAn you provide some links to his arguments.

As far as I know, declaring a rule as the only one on the basis of one sahih hadith is not correct. One needs to be a hadith scholar and usul scholar to make rulings out of even a sahih hadith (or more hadith) or a Quranic verse. That is why there are different opinions among scholars about permissibility of music. The scholars who permit it are not ignorant of this hadith. There are other hadith for instance, that Prophet (as) allowed use of music in weddings, or let Aisha (r.a) listen to songs…etc. The point is in this age we may be inclined to think that when we see a hadith whose translation we understand, then we can make a rule out of it. This is delicate matter. If you are convinced that it is not permissible, then please say, “I believe music is not allowed” or “I agree with the opinion that music is not permissible.” But let us not say “it is clearly haraam and that is the only valid point.” Because clearly there are other scholarly opinions. Also, it just makes more sense not to say “this is sinful and nice,” and better to say “some scholars say it is sinful, and I find it worth sharing hoping that it conveys more good than sin.”

i must say the song is very nice, so i best leave it alone. im not condoning it outright as ijtihad as been made by Fuqaha although by a very few (number countable on 2 hands if not one) throughout Islamic Judicial history, but the general Ijma is that it is Haram and there are at least 6 hasan and sahih hadiths that condone music, and if you have a little knowledge of usool al hadith, you know what 6 hadith means, even if some of them were Ahad or Daeef.
